We’re really excited that BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Finalists and Kent boys, Gentlemen of Few, will be here to play an eclectic blend of old-time bluegrass and classic rock with skillful vocal harmonies and powerful lyrics performing their music with a raw passion and intense energy hardly to be believed, giving them an almighty sound that they’ve coined as “Nugrass”.
A band with five years experience of performing their shows to a plethora of welcoming audiences and dedicated fans across the UK in rooms and halls of both homeliness and esteem. The Royal Albert Hall, London; The Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone and The Forum, Tunbridge Wells to name a few, but the boys have found themselves at Tiree Music Festival, Scotland; Secret Garden Party, Cambridgeshire; Boomtown Fair, Hampton and even supporting the likes of “The Blockheads”, “The Beat” and “Hayseed Dixie”!
“Fusing an old time bluegrass sound with a youthful English vigour, impeccable harmonies and song craft way beyond their years. Mighty impressive.” – Smugglers Records
“So young yet so amazing” – Chris Evans, Radio 2
“Incredible live sound” – BBC Radio Kent
The Gallerys are a young three piece band from Kent in England, drawing influences from The Who, Oasis and The Jam, creating a fresh alternative sound. They’re passionate about live performance. They deliver tight, well rehearsed, high quality tracks throughout their shows. Craig (Bass/Vocals) and James (Guitar/Vocals) write original music, with the trio working closely to add innovative guitar melodies, driving bass lines, all held together with punchy drumming from Dan Maggs (Drums/ Vocals) to achieve their unique sound. All band members provide harmonic vocals on their tracks, proving it’s a team effort for The Gallerys
