Following sell-out performances and rave reviews, The Wheels on Debussy will continue to bring world class classical music to St Mary’s Church, Ashford.

The Wheels on Debussy provides a high quality classical music experience performed by exceptionally talented world-class musicians, for parents and children in a relaxed environment. We do not expect children to sit still, we welcome them to crawl about, dance and singalong to the music.

The concert is 45 minutes long and is a mixture of solo performance and audience participation giving the children a chance to sing along. The concerts take place monthly and will be performed by a different musician and instrument providing a diverse musical experience for you and your child.

Our guest musician is Benet Mclean from The Benet Mclean Band. London born pianist & vocalist Benet Mclean has been involved in music since the age of 3! He began on violin, (a quarter-sized model of course!), & whilst training to become potentially a concert violinist, he also soon became interested in other forms of music such as jazz, bebop and a young genre rising under the name of Hip-hop. Soon teaching himself other instruments such as guitar, piano, electric bass, alto saxophone, as well as of course singing & composing, a musical ‘melting-pot’ began to ‘cook’!
