General Manager

Revelation is looking for an exceptional leader — someone with vision, resilience and commercial drive — to help shape the next chapter in our development

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to lead one of Kent’s most unique and leading cultural venues, taking it to the next level in its development, both strategically and operationally.

This is a fantastic chance for a special person to lead and develop grass roots music and a thriving cultural programme, within a special organisation, in an atmospheric, intimate and quirky venue right at the heart of Ashford’s Town Centre.

• Salary £32-34000 PA pro rata 4 days per week  
• Hours of work:  32 hours/4 days per week flexible to include regular out of hours working
• Start date: As soon as possible after appointment 

You'll bring:

• Minimum of 2 years experience running or working in a senior role in a music/arts venue or related setting
• Established leadership record with resilience and strategic vision
• Extensive senior-level experience within the arts or charitable sector
• Strong financial acumen and a track record of successful fundraising
• Entrepreneurial mindset with drive and creative energy
• Proven ability to lead innovation and inspire transformative change
• A commitment to team empowerment, development, and organisational growth
• Demonstrable success in delivering meaningful change within the arts or charity landscape
• A passionate advocate for the arts and their power to enrich and transform lives
• Inspirational leadership, ensuring the profile, reputation and company activities are of the highest level
• Track record in securing public or private arts funding
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
• Working recent knowledge of the arts industry ideally music promoters/artists
• Hands on Event Management expertise

Become an Event Manager

In addition to our staff team, we work with a pool of professional, freelance Event Managers to deliver the programme at St Mary’s Church.  With over 40 events a year, we are always looking for new talent to add to our pool! If you have event management experience already, or are interested in developing your event management skills with us, we have a wide variety of events and activities you can get involved in.
